Step1

One product of the iPSC-derived multi-layered cardiac cell sheets is to be implanted on the patient‘s heart. Cytokines secreted from the sheets are expected to repair heart tissues and improve cardiac function shortly.

In the implanted cell sheets, a vascular network with blood circulation is formed. The cell sheets can therefore remain much longer.

The cell sheets potentially bring a better therapeutic effect to the patient as they remain longer on the heart.
